GETTING TO THE HILTON OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA FROM AREA AIRPORTS

Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the closest area airport to the conference hotel—about 4 miles.  It’s an easy subway trip: from the airport Metrorail station, take either the Yellow or Blue line to the King Street station in Alexandria, Va.  This is only 2 stops from the airport station.  The Hilton is across the street from the King Street station.  Additional transportation options from DCA include Uber (from $17 to $20) and taxi (the hotel website estimates a minimum $20 taxi fare).

Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) is the next closest airport to the conference site—about 30 miles.  Uber cost from Dulles is about $47.  Taxi cost is close to $60. Traveling by Metrorail from Dulles is possible but will require taking a bus to the closest station and will take a little more than 1 hour.

Baltimore International Airport (BWI) is the farthest airport from the conference site—about 38 miles. Uber cost from BWI is about $68, and taxi fare will run about $100.  Super Shuttle estimates range from $108 to $150.  Rail travel from BWI to Alexandria would involve taking Amtrak from the BWI Amtrak station into Washington, DC, where you would transfer to the Yellow or Blue Metrorail line and ride to the King Street station.  Sharing a shuttle, Uber, or taxi from Dulles or BWI is less complicated and faster.
